Riley’s has just received the newest beer from Lake Louie, Mosquito Beach. This is the first new beer from Lake Louie in many years, and is a delightful new edition to their seasonal lineup of ales.
Mosquito Beach is brewed in the style of a California Common (think Anchor Steam), and packs a solid punch of hops. Amber in color with a refreshingly soft body, this beer boasts a dense array of aromas and flavors, piling on the nutty maltiness and lush grassy hops bitterness. This is not your ordinary light, fizzy, summer beer. No, this beer has the depth and character that you’d expect from a great brewer like Tommy Porter.
No word yet as to whether or not this will be a mainstay in the Lake Louie lineup, but we hope this one keeps coming back because it is a beauty.
